We love to collaborate with Photographers, Fashion Stylists, Hair Stylists & Make Up Artists and other industry creatives and regularly loan them vintage fashion pieces from our collections and from our archives for editorial photo shoots or film and TV productions that they’re working on.
The concept for this beautifully ethereal photo shoot was designed and art directed, styled and shot, by the amazing photographer Daria Bilyk.
She chose this stunning and rare vintage 1950s blue ball gown from our archives for the photo shoot so that it would really pop in the coastal location in Edinburgh the shoot took place in, and especially against the red berries on the Buckthorn trees the images were shot beside. She also chose this dress because it’s multiple layers of soft floaty delicate fabric allow so much movement.
And Doris, the model and make up artist’s silvery hair and bluey silver makeup look so stunning and modern styled with the dress.
