Vintage Clothing: Those Were The Days Vintage

We love to collaborate with Fashion Stylists from all over the UK and regularly loan them vintage fashion pieces from our collections and from our archives for editorial shoots or film and TV productions that they’re working on.

This womenswear shoot was styled by Edinburgh based stylist Laura Blyth.  Laura worked with us to select a range of vintage womenswear pieces from our collections and archives dating from the 1960s to the 1980 that could create strong shapes and images, amongst them a rare late 1960s / early 1970s black Ossie Clark Dress and a rare 1980s grey Thierry Mugler dress.

Laura wanted to show how these items could be worn and styled in a cool, modern, city chic way, by styling them with contemporary hair & makeup looks and accessories.  We hope these images provide you with lots of style inspiration and ideas about how you could incorporate some rare and collectible vintage pieces into your everyday style.
