The Story Behind The Shoot:  These images are from a gorgeous styled bridal wear photo shoot we collaborated on with Solen from The Elopement Society, an Edinburgh based collective of wedding industry creatives & businesses.  We wanted to collaborate together after all the lockdowns and industry disruptions caused by Covid to shoot some beautiful new images, all involving products or services from members of the society, that we could all use to promote what we do.

We chose a range of vintage wedding dresses from our sister store Those Were The Days Bridal for the shoot, all dating from the 1970s to the 1990s and all with a whimsical, prairie, cottage core feel to their style.  This dreamy red floral puff sleeve 1980s gown was selected from our collection of vintage gowns in Those Were The Days Vintage, and could so easily be worn by a bride looking for an alternative style of wedding dress, a bridesmaid, or anyone looking for a fabulous gown for a special event.

We styled the dress with beautiful fine jewellery pieces from our St, Stephen Street neighbour jewellery boutique Aetla, and with a showstopping headband from Saint Beth.  And we shot the dress at the beach in Portobello, Edinburgh.

This was a dream shoot to be part of and a really fun team to work with, and we love all the images. They’re so pretty and whimsical.

If you’d like to see the other images of the bridal dresses we used in the shoot, then why not hop on over to our bridal website and have a look at the rest of the shoot images over there.

And if you’re a bride to be interested in visiting our vintage bridal boutique, then all you need to do is get in touch to book an appointment.

And if you’re looking for a special event dress or gown then you definitely need to pop into Those Were The Days Vintage and see our show stopping collection of vintage dresses.
