The Story Behind The Shoot: We were asked to style the advertising campaign for the 2019 Stobo Castle Ladies Day at Musselburgh Racecourse because the Racecourse management team wanted to take the campaign styling in a chic vintage direction that year to help promote their dress codes and style rules for attendees.
We worked with the marketing team over several weeks to understand the looks they wanted to use for the campaign, and they chose several classic 1940s & 1950s womenswear looks to be shot for the campaign. All the dresses were very timeless and chic and were inspired by the famous Dior New Look style dresses with one 1980s dress also being chosen. And the vintage jewellery, handbags and gloves complimented the looks perfectly. Of course, one of the things Ladies Day at any racecourse is famous for is the fabulous hats the attendees wear, and all the stylish hats in each of our looks were created by the Scottish milliner Silver Linings Millinery.
The menswear looks were all provided by Walker Slater and we worked with their in-house stylists to choose suits that represented their collections and that would inspire men attending the races to dress up and look stylish.
The advertising campaign was launched all over Edinburgh and it was amazing to see our images on buses, billboards and all over Social Media!

Advertising Campaign On Lothian Buses
